- Too expensive what we got for the Money, old fashioned, old bathroom, not well cleaned, the bed in the Master bedroh is too Small,Windows and terasse were not cleaned, not recommendable at all!! Very disappointing Place. Also gehe Reef Café is the worste Place ever I have seen. I do understand under a 'Villa' a standalone House not a room in a Building with many other rooms. This is Not fair comminicated.
The pool was very good
Reef Cafe - very poorly maintained and could do with an update.
The Easter brunch was a bit overpriced.
Big rooms, tidy, friendly staff.
We booked a villa room and the villas are not located in the hotel complex but half a mile away and further away from the beach. We didn't know that. Hotel itself is nice, villas are more like a motel style.
There was a large wedding taking place and we got the bums rush and had no services except a slow check in.
The service people in the restaurants were not attentive.
Convenient location Good meal at Oceanside Terrace
Turned out to be the wrong kind of place for us - just didn't have a Cape Cod/New England/oceanside vacation feel. Nothing special [too expensive for the value received] Daily resort fee annoying since we didn't use beach, pool or gym. Bathroom not very practical - just one small shelf; no real place to put anything except on edge of sink where you keep knocking it over. Outlet receptacle 'loose" - plugs wouldn't stay in.
The beach was nice and very convenient.
This hotel is billed as a top notch luxury resort. Unfortunately, the staff does not seem to understand what thsi means and how o properly treat the guests. They could take a lesson from the staff at more premiere locations such as the Mandarin Oriental, where they understand how to treat the clientele.
Great rooms, great beach, great food. Best vacation we have had in years.
The price, at $550 a night plus tax, tax & resort fee of $20/day it was very expensive. Not for anyone on a budget. Try it after peak season when the price comes down.
Stayed in a one bedroom villa - very well appointed with cooking facilities, fridge, tv etc. and quite spacious. Villages nicely set out with convenient parking available free of charge. Very good range of activities readily available - golf, tennis, swimming pools and gyms
Bearing in mind the cost of the accommodation (relatively expensive) I felt that the charges for golf and tennis were excessive and could not believe that there was a charge for internet use. This was particularly important when travelling with a teenager. There was a very nice restaurant across the road called "Cape Cod Fresh" where the internet was available free of charge and so we dined there most evenings.
I would never stay there again. Everything is too far apart. The staff is totally unprepared to deal with summer inflex of travels at the Cape and staff doesn't speak English sand are all POor communicators
Good standard of room and facilities
Little too spread out to use all the facilities
Ocean Edge is very clean and comfortable. It is close to excellent resturants and shops.
A bit pricey, especially for off season
Activities for the kids and family - Good value for money at the restaurants - Easy access to swimming pools and bike rides -
Room a bit small - Kitchen equipment limited and old -
Great Location in the centre of Cape Cod.
Golfers beware The resort is advertised as an upmarket golfing destination where guests are able to play on their exclusive course. This is nothing short of false advertising and with a policy of advance payment in full for lodging before you stay, there is no recourse if you cannot get on the course after you arrive. They do not take bookings more than 6 weeks in advance or answer emails and preference is given to members, groups and Monday morning is dedicated to course maintenance. Individual guests are relegated to Twilight golf with the sprinklers on, if you are able to play. The golf staff are dismissive, contemptuous and curt. Management are fawning and glib to enquiries and final charges exceeded quoted by booking, com
